According to the findings, the group that was given curcumin experienced a dramatic drop in both pain and fatigue scores proven by statistically significant scientific evidence, not by chance.

The study did not only rely on personal anecdotes and ratings of pain and fatigue levels of the participants, but also compared how many actual pharmaceutical painkillers each group needed. The group that was given curcumin only took 7 rescue painkillers during the study, while the control group with the placebo took 39 of the same drugs.
