Even before the trees start changing colors, my mind is sparkling with holiday excitement. Scarves, hoodies, crisp air, time with family, shopping, snowflakes, mistletoe, music. I absolutely love the holiday season.

What should be a time of joy and celebration becomes a battle between myself and my cravings. Keeping portions controlled, plugging my nose to avoid the savory smells while cooking in the kitchen and turning down treat after treat. It’s exhausting and hardly successful. I’m sure you know the story.
