Step 1: Start Your Day Right
How you start your day is everything. When you wake up, your body is in a fasting mode. You haven’t eaten since dinner (or your late night snack?), for at least 6-10 hours or more. You want to break the fast right.
Hydration is your first step in the morning. Start your day with a warm glass of lemon water. It boosts your metabolism, kick-starts your digestion, cleanses your cells and hydrates your body. It even has a good dose of vitamin C to keep you healthy.
Step 2: Juicing Is Next
After your lemon water, a green juice is the first thing you want to have. No smoothies, no solids, but a delicious green juice. Pick a base, like a cucumber or celery. Add some greens, like kale. For a bit of sweetness add no more than half an apple. Add some lemon and ginger to help your digestion further.
You can't drink too much green juice. Drink 16 oz at least, but you can make it 32 oz if you wish. You can drink several green juices throughout the day. Your other meals should be colorful full of greens, veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds. If you are craving more fats, avocados and dressings with coconut oil are your friend.
