Written by: Lindsay Sibson

Mornings are already hectic enough - am I right or am I right?

Make your morning health routine easier by preparing a recipe ONCE… and then using it all week long!

Take these quick and easy wheat grass shots for example. Just 10 minutes of “work” in the kitchen will provide you a healthy and wholesome “shot” for every day of the week.

What Is Wheat grass?

Wheatgrass is the young grass of the wheat plant, Triticum aestivum.

It is a natural source of vitamins and minerals and grows in temperate regions throughout the U.S.A. and Europe. Being able to live outdoors or indoors, you can grow your own wheatgrass by putting wheat seeds in water and then harvesting the leaves!

We used it in our green juice powder, Organifi, because it is known as the “lifeblood” of plant life - even the ancient Egyptians worshiped wheatgrass for it’s positive health benefits.

Why Eat Wheat grass?

  • One of the best sources of living chlorophyll
  • Has OVER 100 elements your body needs
  • Contains an abundance of minerals: vitamin A, B-complex, K, C, E and more
  • Neutralizes toxins in your body
  • Is antibacterial and a natural remedy
  • Improves blood sugar problems
  • A nutritionally complete  food
  • High in oxygen, which benefits your brain and body tissues

    • Juicer OR
    • Blender, nut milk bag, ice cube tray

Instructions:

If using a juicer:

1. Juice the wheatgrass, stir in the coconut water and then pour into the ice cube trays.
2. Place in freezer.

If using a blender:

1. Place the wheatgrass and coconut water into the blender and process on a high speed until mixed.
2. Hold the nut milk bag over a bowl and pour the wheatgrass mixture into the bag.

Simply pop a “shot” out of the ice cube tray, let it defrost and then BOTTOMS UP!
