What Is Wheat grass?
Wheatgrass is the young grass of the wheat plant, Triticum aestivum.
It is a natural source of vitamins and minerals and grows in temperate regions throughout the U.S.A. and Europe. Being able to live outdoors or indoors, you can grow your own wheatgrass by putting wheat seeds in water and then harvesting the leaves!
We used it in our green juice powder, Organifi, because it is known as the “lifeblood” of plant life - even the ancient Egyptians worshiped wheatgrass for it’s positive health benefits.

How To Make Wheatgrass Shots
- 2 large handfuls of fresh wheatgrass
- ½ cup coconut water (or regular filtered water)
- Juicer OR
- Blender, nut milk bag, ice cube tray
If using a juicer:1. Juice the wheatgrass, stir in the coconut water and then pour into the ice cube trays.
2. Place in freezer.
If using a blender:1. Place the wheatgrass and coconut water into the blender and process on a high speed until mixed.
2. Hold the nut milk bag over a bowl and pour the wheatgrass mixture into the bag.
- Squeeze the bag to release the liquid.
Simply pop a “shot” out of the ice cube tray, let it defrost and then BOTTOMS UP!
