The Best Guacamole For Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is held on May 5th each year. Originally this holiday wasn’t about food, but to commemorate the victory of the Mexican army over Napoleon III’s French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Over the years, however, Cinco de Mayo has become a holiday of feasting on Mexican food, especially in the United States.

Bring on the piñatas, tacos, salsas, enchiladas, tortillas, fajitas, quesadillas, empanadas and let’s party. And don’t forget the guacamole!

This Cinco de Mayo, try this delicious guacamole recipe:

Cinco de Mayo Guacamole

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime
  • 1 - 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small chopped tomato
  • Chopped cilantro (decide the amount based on your taste buds)
  • 1 minced red bell pepper
  • 1 minced chipotle or poblano pepper (optional)
  • 1 scoop of Organifi Green Juice Powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of black pepper

Instructions:

1. Mash the avocado in a bowl.
2. Squeeze in the lime juice. Mix well.
3. Add all other ingredients. Mix well.
4. Put it in the fridge for 1 - 2 hours.
5. Stir well and serve.
