Chocolate Chip and Protein N’ice Cream Recipe

How do you recover after a workout? Do you slam down a protein shake, or a dry, crumbly protein bar? More importantly… do you ever actually enjoy it?

Even if you don’t work out on a regular basis, you DO need protein regularly. This recipe delivers a guilt-free protein-rich treat that’ll make everyone smile.

Today, we’ve got a brand-new take on a classic treat that makes everyone giddy with joy…

  • It’s perfect on a hot summer day…
  • Ideal as a dessert any time…
  • Your best friend after a stressful day…
  • Sweetens any romantic date…
  • Makes a lovely addition to any dinner party…
  • Brings back childhood memories…
  • And puts a happy smile on your face any day!

You’ve guessed it (and we kinda spoiled it with the title, we suppose) - ICE CREAM!

Rich, creamy, succulent, and refreshing ice cream. It’s been the world’s favorite dessert for a long time now.

But there’s a problem when it comes to ice cream – it’s NOT very healthy. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

But you knew that already, didn’t you?

Ice Cream is a Guilty Pleasure for a Reason:

Traditional ice creams you find at grocery stores and ice cream shops are full of processed sugar and artificial ingredients that can lead to blood sugar issues, weight gain, and more.

Non-vegan ice creams are also full of processed dairy, to which an increasing amount of people are allergic or sensitive. If you are dealing with unidentifiable pain, inflammation, frequent colds, fatigue, or other unknown health issues, you may in fact be dealing with hidden dairy sensitivity.

Does that mean you can never have ice cream again?

Heck no! You can totally enjoy healthy, organic, and plant-based ice cream. In fact, you can make your own. We do it all the time (and we’re particularly partial to protein ice cream).

Why a Protein Ice Cream Recipe?

This recipe gives you the best of both worlds: an undeniably deliciously sweet treat, and potent superfood nutrition. It satisfies your sweet tooth while nourishing your body in a healthy way.

With high-protein ice cream, you feed your muscles AND get that yummy-tummy feeling 100% guilt-free.

You can enjoy your favorite flavors too, like chocolate chip, strawberry, or vanilla, and even put a chocolate hard shell on top (oh yes… we’ve included the recipe for the shell as well).

Heaven… Heaven in a frosty bowl.

Make sure you bookmark this post in case you have to run to the store to grab the very few ingredients needed.

The Best Chocolate Chip Protein Ice Cream Recipe Online:

It’s “not ice cream”, but N’ICE cream - nice to your health, and nice to your waistline. It’s also nice for your taste buds.

This frozen delight is made with superfoods you may already have in your kitchen. Each ingredient was chosen for a reason:

Banana: brings you plenty of potassium for muscle recovery, fiber for your digestion, and sweetness for your taste bud’s desires.

Almond Butter: provides healthy fats, protein, and fiber in addition to the creamy richness no frosty treat should be without.

Clean, Plant-Based Protein: what makes this protein ice cream recipe so special is that it is made with Organifi Complete Protein.

Our protein powder is made with high-quality organic plant ingredients – such as quinoa, pea, and pumpkin seed – to fill you up with protein, digestive enzymes, and vitamins. It’s USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, whey-free, and dairy-free.

It’s a complete vegan protein, so you get all the essential amino acids needed from protein in every scoop. It tastes delicious, too – you can get it in vanilla or chocolate.

This means you can make high-protein ice cream at home without a lot of ingredients, while still keeping all the tasty goodness of traditional ice cream. Because no one wants quinoa-flavored ice cream.

Are you ready? Are you pumped?

Let’s freakin’ GO!

High Protein Ice Cream: The Perfect Post-Workout Treat

Ice cream after working out?

Sounds like a dream come true!

The great thing about this super simple recipe is that you can have it as a post-workout meal or treat, just like you do with a protein bar or smoothie.

Adding all this nutritious goodness to your n’ice cream creates the ideal balance between nutrition and guilt-free pleasure.

Post-Workout Nutrition is Important:

When you exercise and work out, your body uses energy stored as glycogen for fuel. This means that after working up a nice sweat and muscle burn, your body is partially depleted of glycogen as well as some proteins that build and maintain muscle.

In fact, consuming protein soon after a workout is not only recommended but highly encouraged.

Now, you can substitute your guilty pleasure for a truly nutritious treat that actively works towards your fitness goals – not against them.

About Post-Workout Recovery:

In order to achieve your fitness goals, recovery must be included in your workout routine. It’s easy to feel guilty for taking time off, enjoying a treat, or having a rest day – but this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Cooldown sessions (short-term exercise recovery), rest days (long-term recovery), and post-workout meals are all critical for increasing muscle size, improving muscle tone, preventing cell breakdown, repairing soft tissue, and removing chemical build-up, so don’t skip them.

Bottom Line:

High-protein ice cream can be an easy, effective, and delicious way to recover after a workout. It gives your body muscle-repairing protein and essential amino acids, and you’ll feel great treating yourself with a delicious scoop. It’s the ideal replacement for some of your post-workout protein shakes.
