Today's post features another one of our personal favorite fitness trainers, Dane Drobny!
Dane is a trainer at Barry's Bootcamp and he knows how to get your muscles aching and your heart pumping in the best way possible. He keeps his workouts positive and upbeat and will always make sure your goals are being met. He's super supportive and encouraging and helps everyone he works with blast past their own limits and sets them up for success.
When I got to Barry's Bootcamp, I walked into a clean, welcoming space and was sweetly greeted by a helpful desk attendant who got me all checked in and taken care of. It was my first time experiencing Barry’s and getting started couldn’t have been easier!
My legs were SO wobbly (in a good way) after taking Dane’s “Legs & Butt” class. Perhaps it’s because I went during Hell week (where you take 1 class per day for 7 days straight), or perhaps it’s because I simply don’t push myself that hard without a trainer… but my legs were noodles as I wrote this! Walking out of there (slowly!), I consciously thought about how thankful I was that I didn’t have to drive a stick shift home. Using a clutch with those legs? No, thank you!
Dane is oh-so-good at setting you up for success and encouraging you along the way. I felt safe, knowing that he knows his stuff and cares about proper form. I felt like I was doing a great job, especially due in large part to his consistent positive feedback to our group. The fact he knew exactly where each person was at was great! He gave clear directions and took the time to show us each movement thoroughly, without taking away from the workout. I felt the burn that can only come from heartily using my muscles - exactly what I’m looking for when I work with a trainer!
Would I recommend his class? Absolutely! Would I also recommend Ubering there so you don’t have to worry about using the muscles you just thoroughly exhausted? Also, yes. :)

Let's get to know this fantastic trainer a bit better!
1) Who’s your ideal client?
Whoever shows up that day is my favorite client, honestly. I love working with people who wake up with a growth mindset, knowing that they have the power and make the choice to do something today to make themselves better, healthier and happier.
2) What’s your favorite Organifi product?

3) How’d you figure out your unique training style?
Experience. Practicing everyday. Being a student first and foremost. Seeing what works. Seeing what sticks. Observing others in their element, what they like, what makes the biggest impact.

(As the music starts to build) "If it sounds like a sprint, looks like a sprint and feels like it's a sprint, it's probably a sprint, here it comes, in 3, 2, 1 - SPRINT!"

5) Is there anything else you want us to know?
I always say the most effective form of fitness is whatever you enjoy the most. Try everything! By yourself or with a buddy. Inside or outside. In a gym or boutique studio. On a bike or on a treadmill. Whatever brings you the most joy has the greatest chance of sticking. Stick to what you love.
6) What would you say people in the industry best know you for?
That I'm always on the go! They call me Kramer from Seinfeld. I start my day at 4 AM and am on the go every single hour until I go to sleep at 8 PM.
7) What's something that may surprise people about you?
I'm straight! And that at 200lbs I am actually pretty fast. I always walk into class with the intention to not go below 8MPH.
