How To Make The Best Gluten-Free Pizza Ever

Written by: Kat Gal

Do you love pizza as much as I do?

I bet you do. Who doesn’t love pizza anyways?! I don’t see anyone raising their hand.

But pizza is bad for you, right? Actually, it’s not. If you order from a fast-food chain, sure, it is practically unhealthy junk food. But if you make your own, pizza can be the healthiest and most delicious thing!

This Socca Pizza, for example, is home-made, organic, natural, gluten-free, dairy-free and healthy. It is also super yummy and simple to make!

What’s the secret? Chickpea flour. Yup, you heard it right. Chickpea flour makes this pizza healthy AND mouth-watering.

Use Chickpea Flour To Make The Best Guilt-Free Pizza!

Why Chickpea Flour?

Chickpea flour is an excellent alternative to conventional gluten-filled powders. It has a higher proportion of fiber, is gluten-free and even has some protein in it. Chickpea flour is filling and easy to use in a variety of ways.

½ cup of chickpea flour contains (1):

  • 178 calories
  • 3 grams of fat
  • 10 grams protein
  • 5 grams fiber
  • 5 grams of sugar (no added sugar)
  • 101 milligrams folate (50 percent DV)
  • 0.75 milligrams manganese (37 percent DV)
  • 0.4 milligrams copper (21 percent DV)
  • 76 milligrams magnesium (19 percent DV)
  • 146 milligrams phosphorus (15 percent DV)
  • 0.2 milligrams thiamine (15 percent DV)
  • 2 milligrams iron (12 percent DV)
  • 0.25 milligrams vitamin B6 (12 percent DV)
  • 778 milligrams potassium (11 percent DV)
  • 3 milligrams zinc (9 percent DV)

You may be worried about bloating and gas that beans can cause. Stop worrying. Chickpea flour is already pre-digested. This means that your body will have no issues handling it. No gas. No bloating. Only the benefits.

Chickpea flour is also gluten-free!

What Is Gluten?

Gluten is a type of protein found in grains, such as wheat, rye, and barley.

Can You Eat Gluten? (2)

About 1% of the population is dealing with Celiac disease, an autoimmune condition that leads to digestive issues, skin rashes, fatigue, brain fog and malnutrition. If you have celiac, gluten is your enemy. You have to be careful with cross-contamination and products that ‘may contain gluten. (3)

Gluten allergies are similarly rare, causing severe allergic reactions when gluten is consumed. If you have a gluten allergy, avoiding gluten is a must for you as well. (4)

About 6% of the population is dealing with some level of gluten sensitivity. Gluten sensitivity usually doesn’t lead to immediate reactions in your body, but consumed regularly, it can lead to inflammation, digestive issues, brain fog and chronic pain. If you are dealing with gluten sensitivity, your body may be able to deal with gluten once in a while or GF products that may contain gluten. For the most part though, you are better off staying gluten-free. (4)

If you are not celiac and not dealing with gluten allergies and sensitivities, going gluten-free or eating gluten-free meals still cannot hurt you. Your body doesn’t need gluten anyways. Besides, this GF pizza is delicious and you must try it, no matter what!
